Guevara Endorsed by the Fairfax League of Conservation Voters

The Best Candidate for Smart Growth

CHANTILLY, VA – With only 32 days until Election Day, John Guevara has captured a key endorsement. Today, the Guevara campaign announced the endorsement of the Fairfax League of Conservation Voters. John joins Supervisor John Cook as the only Republican candidates endorsed by the FLCV for the Board of Supervisors.

“I am humbled and honored that the Fairfax League of Conservation Voters has placed their trust in me,” said Guevara. “In meeting with the League’s members during the endorsement process, we all realized that many of our goals for the County align, such as our plans for smart growth, seeking innovative ways to encourage conservation of energy and reduce our power bills, and lower the cost of operating our County Government by finding innovative ways to be more energy efficient.”

Guevara went on to say, “What I find especially exciting about this endorsement is that diverse constituencies are coming together to support my campaign because they’re excited about my new ideas and practical solutions for the challenges confronting Fairfax County. Democrats, Independents, and Republicans are uniting together in support of my candidacy because we’re working towards a common goal; improving the quality of life for residents in Sully District and Fairfax County.”

The decision to endorse Mr. Guevara was made following an extensive, in-person interview of both candidates seeking to represent Sully District on the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors.
